BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — Democratic candidate for Virginia governor Abigail Spanberger made a stop in Bristol on Friday.
Spanberger served as the U.S. representative for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District.
She says she is running on issues such as energy policy, housing affordability, and education.
Spanberger told News Channel 11 that it is important to introduce herself to all parts of Virginia.
“I’m excited to be here in Bristol,” she said. “I’m excited to be traveling throughout Southwest Virginia, meeting people, ensuring that I’m able to introduce myself and listen to community members about what’s most important, what troubles the most, what do they want any candidate for governor to know, and to spend time really getting to know communities to see the vibrancy and beauty of communities across Virginia and it’s it’s exciting to be out on the campaign trail.”
Spanberger is running against Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears.
