Job Description: Field Organizer
The Abigail Spanberger for Governor Campaign is seeking dedicated Field Organizers to organize communities across Virginia in 2025. We are looking for passionate, hard-working individuals who are committed to building the grassroots organizing operation needed to win Virginia elections in 2025.
The Field Organizer will report directly to the Regional Organizing Director. This is a full-time position based in Virginia.
Job Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of volunteers across Virginia to conduct direct voter contact.
- Coordinate volunteer events including but not limited to in person canvasses, phone banks, ballot petitioning, and community meetings.
- Utilize a number of tactics and tools to hit daily and weekly metric goals.
- Create a positive volunteer experience that engages new people in the volunteer process and keeps people engaged throughout the cycle.
- Recruit, manage and train volunteer leaders to execute a large scale ballot petition campaign and a large scale GOTV.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous campaign experience as staff or volunteer preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work in the field office and in the community you are assigned.
- Flexible, adaptable, and solutions-oriented.
- Commitment to developing and fostering an inclusive environment open to individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to track and report data in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner.
- A desire to work long campaign hours, including evenings and weekends in 2025.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Access to a car, cell phone, laptop, and ability to easily travel.
Compensation:
$4,888/month, commensurate with experience. Health, vision, and dental insurance are included with Employee premiums covered 100% by Spanberger for Governor.
