Job Description: Finance Associate
Abigail Spanberger’s 2025 campaign for Governor is seeking a highly organized, enthusiastic team player to join our growing team. This opportunity is geared towards individuals looking to learn from and be a part of the most high-profile race in the nation in 2025.
The Finance Associate will report directly to the Regional Finance Director. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Northern Virginia.
Job Responsibilities
- Works with the Finance Team to execute the logistics of a large, multimillion-dollar finance plan.
- Coordinates logistics for fundraising events; executes outreach, manages RSVPs, and ensures strong communication between guests, raisers, and event hosts.
- Conducts donor research and provides detailed briefing materials for candidate meetings and events.
- Assists with call time logistics and the preparation of call time materials.
- Assists with the donor acknowledgment process.
- Assists with campaign finance compliance processes; in-kind contribution forms, campaign receipts, and general record keeping in accordance with campaign finance laws.
- Helps manage finance interns, fellows, and volunteers.
- Provides transportation and staffing for the candidate for fundraisers, meetings, and general campaign events.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- A desire to work long campaign hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Experience with NGP, ActBlue, and Google office products and the ability to learn new software programs quickly.
Compensation:
$5,500/month, commensurate with experience. Health, vision, and dental insurance are included with Employee premiums covered 100% by Spanberger for Governor.
