The Spanberger for Governor campaign is seeking experienced, organized, and demonstrated team players to serve as Regional Political Directors on the most high-profile race in the nation in 2025. The Regional Political Director will play a critical role in driving the campaign’s political strategy within a designated region. This position involves building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating grassroots efforts, managing political events, and collaborating closely with the campaign team to implement the overall political outreach strategy.

Regional Political Directors will report directly to the Political Director. This is a full-time position based in Northern Virginia. Candidates should expect to continuously meet with local stakeholders in person and travel throughout the Commonwealth as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with Campaign Leadership to craft and implement regional strategies in line with Campaign goals.
• Foster and maintain relationships with elected officials, party leaders, advocacy groups, and community influencers to build regional support for the Campaign.
• Identify and collaborate with key demographic groups, interest-based organizations, and community leaders to establish and strengthen diverse coalitions.
• Plan and execute political events, such as rallies, business visits, town halls, and fundraising activities to maximize regional engagement and impact.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the Campaign’s mission.
• Lead grassroots efforts by recruiting volunteers, executing voter outreach programs, and driving mobilization efforts.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Required Qualifications

• At least (3) three years organizing experience with a strong preference for at least (2) two cycles on a statewide electoral organizing program.
• Access to a car and ability to easily travel.
• Virginia experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of regional political dynamics and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute events and initiatives.
• Willingness to travel within the designated region and work irregular hours as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse groups.
• Experience working in AAPI or Hispanic Communities and fluency in a second language preferred.

Compensation:

$6,250/month, commensurate with experience. Health, vision, and dental insurance are included with Employee premiums covered 100% by Spanberger for Governor.
