Job Description: Political Associate
The Spanberger for Governor campaign is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and enthusiastic team player to join our growing team. This opportunity is geared towards individuals looking to learn from and be a part of the most high-profile race in the nation in 2025. Ideal candidates will be ready to work on a multitude of varying projects across the Commonwealth.
The Political Associate will report directly to the Political Director. This is a full-time position based in Richmond, Virginia.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Political Department by identifying and building relationships across the Commonwealth with elected officials, community leaders, and organizations.
- Track and manage the Campaign’s presence at events across the Commonwealth
- Manage and build coordination with a multitude of constituencies and stakeholder groups.
- Work closely with other Campaign departments on key strategic and political initiatives.
- Support with outreach events, contact tracking, fundraising, and operations projects.
- Staff events that include rallies, fundraisers, meet-and-greets, and opposition research events.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- At least (1) one year of experience on political campaigns or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Access to a car and ability to easily travel with the candidate and campaign team across the Commonwealth.
- Comfortability with public engagement at a variety of events across the Commonwealth.
- Experience using NGP, VAN, Mobilize, and Google Suite.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
Compensation:
$5,500/month, commensurate with experience. Health, vision, and dental insurance are included with Employee premiums covered 100% by Spanberger for Governor.
